If you're just getting into Christmas puddings I'd recommend this recipe. It's not a "traditional" British pudding, not as heavy, light on the candied fruit, so you don't have to age it a month/baste it in rum like you do with traditional puddings. But it makes for a very nice introduction and is much easier.
