@Lassielmr @adrianfry I still have a car but probably do less than 1/4 of the mileage I did in 2019. I now cycle for short journeys and use the train for most longer journeys.
If you're able-bodied, that turns out to be more convenient in lots of ways.
Different folk have different situations, but the majority of folk don't need to rely on their car as much as they think they do.
