@thomasfuchs For comparison, Yesterday, my home gas boiler used 105kWh to heat the house. The house is over 100 years old and could be better insulated. It was -1C outside with freezing rain. 0.22kg CO2/kWh is released by UK household gas. 23kg of CO2 yesterday.
Which is to say, heating my house on one of the few coldest days of the year releases as much CO2 as a 85 mile drive in a small family diesel that isn’t hauling anything.
