Also it's completely legal. Upfront investment in a proper setup (mask, regulator, canister, hoses, etc.) will probably set you back around $300~$500 but after that you're set. Just go visit your local airgas and get them to fill/swap your canister for a medical mix (it has oxygen so there's no risk of suffocation). After that Bob's your uncle and you're all set. Tank swaps will be cheap and you'll have a tonne of it.

Xeon is even more fun than nitrous oxide but it's expensive af to the point that it's almost prohibitively expensive even for medical use. It's the most insane trip tho.

My only advice is that if you plan to trip on nitrous oxide regularly then pick up some vitamin B12 supplements because regular use of nitrous oxide can cause a vitamin B12 deficiency.

Also all 5 kingdoms of life are affected by anesthesias like nitrous oxide. Humans, dogs, cats, fish, bugs, apple trees, mushrooms, algae, slime mold, bacteria, etc. heck, even corn and bumble bees too!
