You are using a Unix-based system, Unix was created by boomers. C was created by boomers. I think the creators of languages like Fortran and Lisp may actually be too old to count as boomers, not sure. Though maybe Lisp wasn't created, but discovered. Oh, and Stallman is also a boomer, though he didn't exactly invent much.
And of course, since those things were invented, in most cases, nothing has improved and everything has gotten worse, and every generation that touches it makes it even worse. Except things that never became all that mainstream, those are just stagnant because there is no one to work on them, because everyone is already busy writing horrible abominations. In a way it's better to be stagnant, nowadays.
