@maxine @mja I understand why fixating on “jewish elites” is a red flag to people and I entirely agree that most of the elites in western societies are not jewish, and outside the context of discussing Zionism there’s no real point in mentioning judaism at all. my post was specifically coming out of a context of being frustrated with a group of people on XF, who I’ve argued with about this on the past, who do get very mad if you try to connect Zionism with Jewish Amercians in any way (with nyx going so far as to claim that anyone who supported Zionism wasn’t “really” Jewish). as far as apologizing to them directly, that they’ve been much more mean to me than I have to them, and also most of them have more or less said they don’t want to interact with me ever again. I responded to you just because you’re the only one who pointed to my post directly as an example of antisemitism and because you seemed to me like you’d be reachable in a way they aren’t
