Dogs are usually pretty predictable tbh, if you spend much time with a particular one you can learn their quirks and how to handle them. Letting animals and kids interact needs to be done properly, regardless of the animal involved. It's easy to traumatize a kid, and it's easy for a kid to antagonize.

If you genuinely believe all this nature trumps nurture bullshit, then you'd be more positive about pitbulls. Because over 99% of them will never harm a kid, even with the brat crawling over them and poking them. That's their nature, it's nurture that fucks them up and causes triggers.
