Julien Tournay@killyourfm no they don't. They pay based on the % their revenue based on the % of streams an artist represents relative to the total number of streams. Aka if you're 1% of all the streams, you get 1% of whatever Spotify pays to all the artists. Also Spotify does not pay artists directly.
