@BowsacNoodle @Moon @AidanTTIerian I also believe that people should maintain their own vehicles, which is why I do not own a car; I grew up maintaining cars as an assistant to my dad, and I consider it an abysmal task.
I do not expect every car owner to have an engine hoist. But I expect them to know who in the neighbourhood does, and know when they ought to ask to borrow it. I don't expect them to be able to fix a bent head, but I expect them to know how to detect a bent head and toss it.
For myself, I am going to keep using the vehicle that I can pick up and carry if it all goes to shit. The vehicle where the max bolt torque is <20cspb (cheeseslices per burger).
