Craig Nicol@siege I don't think they ever cited it as a reference, but I think it's interesting that both The Matrix and Turing's Imitation Game use machines as a metaphor for whether someone can pass according to societal norms. Of course, the stakes for him were unfortunately higher. I'd like to think a fully aware retelling would honour that connection.
