I would do it for years though in the opposite direction, if some one was signaling they disliked whatever group I would sometimes just play along with it then they would spill their entire beliefs onto me about how the jews are running the world, hitler was always right and the damn monkeys etc etc. I would also do it in the opposite direction, and ask people about the other people, what they thought their opinions on the subjects I got them to spill on were, there were people whose own wives legitimately had no clue their husband was a raging closet nazi that literally idealized hitler.

I have done this with a lot of different subjects through out my life with various people just to see what horrible degenerate shit or insane belief they might hold. I've had truly degenerate fucks that want to kidnap people etc. I've had people go into the ghost that are haunting them and how they speak to "x or y". Just really anything you can do this with.

I recommend it can be pretty fun, just sorta have to trick yourself into an idea that you genuinely agree, 'adopt a mindset'. But basically I would purposefully be an extreme social chameleon to see what sort of deep seated ideas I could get others to express by just being extremely agreeable and attempting to think like the other person.
