I agree the word isn't enough. That said, I do like the fact that it puts light to the truth: non-binary rejects binary. It's almost flippant/witty about it, and I appreciate that.

Kind of like queer being reclaimed, calling out the foolishness of binary with non-binary makes me smile in a very dry humour sort of way.

But yeah, we gonna need a better word. Enby as a neologism is a good start, IMO. Keeps the history/etymology but also is a new thing, free of binary's baggage.
