I am glad to know there many young people, but the fact that I had no idea about it proved my point. All the media focused on RMS’ POV, as he is the superstar, the one with the most experience, and, of course, GNU’s founder. It is understandable and it is fine. When talking about the topic of youth engagement (and many other things that are not his field), though, he should not be as entitled.

Broadly, what I am saying is: give the floor and the attention to those who are really and deeply involved with the subject of the discussion. Everyone has the right to make a comment, but I believe that in tue media the narration of who young people are and how they (should) behave is carried out by people who can not truly relate.
