    Also note that generally DAWs run all activity on a channel on a single core/thread, this includes busses. So if you have 5 tracks on a bus, those tracks will be processed on a single core, which can cause latency, including the time it takes to process each channel before each hits the bus. Everything else has to wait. This also means, the more cores/threads, the better.

    Latency is a huge issue if you want to track anything live. For mixing, it really doesn't matter.
