@CedarTea I think the closest comparison, for America, is actually Vietnam.

The VAST majority of Vietnamese migrants who came to the US, were literally refugees who had EVERY right to say "you destroyed my home and life, now I want a chance to make a new one here."

A very SMALL percentage of the Vietnamese ppl who came here - were ex-fascist thugs who worked with the US occupation and puppet dictators we propped up to support our war.

But the former, was used to defend the later, dishonestly.
