You don't need to replace your sponge that often. The point of washing is to get your dishes clean, not create a sterile lab environment. Soap and water clear off all the food and grease. You can always do a second quicker wash with a rag and wash that after. I want a commercial dishwasher so I can do a load in 5 minutes.
