@kittenlikeasmallcat i agree. I said best ofs will always be a thing cause its a good sampler and or there for people who just want all the hits. I just prefer albums over compilations unless they are like a collection of early singles/demos/eps (like the 12" singles by ministry again), or like a couple eps stitched together to make an album (like the hammer party)

Social distortion's mainliner compilation kinda fits under both examples i gave since its early singles and eps assorted in a collection. Though i think they are segmented out so that the eps are in the same layout as they originally were (or atleast by the era they came out)
