@mekkaokereke honestly I think a lot of the mentality that lawyers are evil was pushed by big businesses who don't like the idea that there is a mechanism in place to punish them if they break laws

it's died down a lot now but I remember when we were all being pushed the idea of how this country is over litigious and we needed tort reform to curb frivolous lawsuits and then it turned out like the hot coffee lady and other such cases were misrepresented by the press
