I know for a fact that govs have played a terrible role in the devastation of BC forests. At one point a ton of forestry workers were fired and never replaced. It IS in BC forestry law that glyphosate be sprayed to kill 'weed' trees - the ones that don't make good logs/timber.

Many of the current conditions in BC can be directly blamed on stupid gov policies that favoured (often foreign) logging companies over real environmental (and human/animal) protection. People would be shocked at how little $ old growth forests were destroyed for. Of course there are many other factors including careless humans.

Don't believe anything you read from CTV - it's bought and paid for by Trudeau's gov with our taxes.
