What if these trees dying is not drought (hydraulic failure) but instead it's methane?

We know that there's a ton of methane under forests. Some forests naturally emit it.

We know from leaky pipes in cities that it kills trees like this.

Are the forests burning especially hard because we've heated up the soil enough to cause a release?
