You can beg and plead and bitch and moan all you want about how 'violence doesn't solve anything', except it actually does. And you say that shit will go all crazy and anarchistic, except it didn't. Everyone went out, saw that Frank's sentence was carried out, and then went home and had a beer.
In the past, everyone just went and lynched whoever needed lynching and called it a day. However today, there's been so much abuse of the various systems, and there are so many many people who would have been lynched in the past but are walking unpunished in modern society that I suspect that once things boil over, there's going to be a whole mountain of extrajudicial activity. At the end of the day, when injustices such as this continue to exist, you get violence, and there's nothing that you or I can do about it.
