pettter@spacerog @defcon Honestly, looking across the pond I don't think american hackers were ever as countercultural or anti-establishment as they might have wanted to see themselves as being. Not sure if Euro hackers were much better, but at least to me there's always been a much more clearly stated political angle to European hackerdom.
