People should be skeptical about supporting something that could be used to target our rights, because we've seen how stuff like The PATRIOT Act is abused, along with a number of "think of the children" movements throughout modern history. We have a fundamental issue of "letter of the law" in our society, and this is frequently abused by bad actors with agendas. Pornography hitching itself to free speech so that Larry Flint could make money is actually the textbook example of this.
