@jimniels @eric I see a lot of people hating on git recently/conflating git with github. Clearly these people do not remember the dark times before git and the proliferation of terrible tools that prompted Linus to write it. I managed them all. When was the last time git left all your source entirely unrecoverable or you had migrate your source from one scm tool to another slightly less worse scm? If you are not smart enough to use git then you would have not survived a week in the dark ages.
