@weaselx86 The larger problem is that we consume far too much material. A lot of aluminium processing occurs in countries like Iceland and Norway where there is lots of "sustainable" electricity. Aluminium is actually seen as part of the "transition". Fossil fuels are used to destroy the Amazon and tropical forests where it is mined. Fossil fuels are used to transport it. And there are 4 billion tons of toxic red mud waste from its processing in dumps all over the world. But it's clean and green
