@sj_zero @lain Nematodes are extremely hardy. One of the reasons people get trichinosis is that even a standard home freezer isn't enough to kill all trichinella. A lot of parasitic worms go into a cyst stage and can just wait for seemingly forever for proper conditions. Honestly they're incredibly gross creatures and their prevalence makes me think we really need to incorporate more antiparasitic stuff into the Western diet.
