    @coolboymew @Koropokkur @romin Black and White were supposed to be New York with elements of the rest of the US thrown in. XD/Colosseum were in Arizona. Kanto's supposed to be, well, Kanto so basically Tokyo, and Johto the area to the west of Tokyo. Hoenn is Kyushu, I think, and Sinnoh is Hokkaido.

    And yeah, Mew was found in the Guyana jungle and that led to the rest of the Pokemon being discovered in Red and Blue, I remember thinking how weird that was when I first played them. It makes a little sense with Kanto being an actual place in real life.

      The Kantō region (関東地方, Kantō-chihō, IPA: [ka(ꜜ)ntoː tɕiꜜhoː]) is a geographical region of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. In a common definition, the region includes the Greater Tokyo Area and encompasses seven prefectures: Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa. Slightly more than 45 percent of the land area within its boundaries is the Kantō Plain. The rest consists of the hills and mountains that form land borders with other regions of Japan.
