This I seriously doubt post-graduation. Especially since so much of this is doing on an individual state basis. Medical boards, bar exams (there is a multistate one that’s getting pozzed and this is already getting pushback) and I think I’d have heard if this was happening with engineering.

Plus the future belongs to those who show up. Self-imploding? Someone’s going to pick up the pieces. I think @Christmas_Man also grossly overstates what’s required to continue these professions, modulo the law which isn’t based on hard reality like the others.
