     Those fields are also ruined with the deviation of accreditation from the relevant fields anyway. More accurate to answer "this only works" with "this doesn't work, and is actively self-imploding."

     This I seriously doubt post-graduation. Especially since so much of this is doing on an individual state basis. Medical boards, bar exams (there is a multistate one that’s getting pozzed and this is already getting pushback) and I think I’d have heard if this was happening with engineering.

     Plus the future belongs to those who show up. Self-imploding? Someone’s going to pick up the pieces. I think @Christmas_Man also grossly overstates what’s required to continue these professions, modulo the law which isn’t based on hard reality like the others.

     @Christmas_Man @sevvie This only works if you think collapse is near or aren’t planned to move somewhere safer like Switzerland where having a bachelor’s degree would make a big difference.

     Otherwise we’re denying our side doctors, lawyers, and the types of engineers that need licensing. Finding paths that aren’t of extreme risk to those careers … that’s a big if now. Osteopaths for the doctor route are a possibility, not sure about the others.

     Many such fields that wouldn't last long without a well tuned and adequately refined academy to produce the next generation of workers whose skills require perfection to practice, however, the OP here is referencing another thread wherein that OP (possibly in parody) heavily implies all those who haven't pursued a college education are inferior to those who have (regardless of field of study).
