More correctly, GNU, systemd and BusyBox usage spiked in normies that browse normie sites, as the people that spy on useragents from those sites are seeing a larger percentage of used's with useragents that incorrectly say "Linux".

It is simply unknown specifically as to how many users GNU/Linux{-libre} has and if usage has spiked or not, merely because most version of GNU/Linux don't spy on the users.
