@animeirl @Kirino @bot @Moon @zaitcev The best way to handle that is to focus on the other person's interests first. Ask where they're from, what they do, that sort of thing. The trick is to not make it seem like an interrogation, which is just a matter of experience.

Use a mix of questions and statements. Don't just ask a bunch of questions. A statement about something they just told you can function as an "inspiration" to say something else.

I highly recommend reading Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People. There aren't many other books as good as that one for helping you figure out how to relate to others. The content will stick with you for a lifetime.
