But of the options that are not living solo (or with previously established blood relatives), together with a romantic partner is basically the thing. And yes, many might not like living communally. But from my pov, living with a romantic partner is a form of communal living.

You’re right in that single family households are more common in some places than others and even that commonality is more or less a recent development in some places rather than others.
