I've had two MRIs. I was never been checked. The gun story seems to be bit suspect, because the patient would typically be in a gown, meaning they typically couldn't carry or conceal things like guns. The buttplug story is real. The guy had it in, which is why he was able to conceal it. He is now suing the manufacturer because it advertised that it was 100% silicone. It turns out it had a metal core.
