- Embed this notice@seungjin LLVM only seems to exist as companies don't like how they can't take gcc and make it proprietary.
gcc is still better than any <frontend>+LLVM in every freedom respecting way and is better at optimizing - despite how hard those proprietary software companies try to beat gcc.
I tend to avoid clang+LLVM as it's pure sepples and mediocre.
CUPS ideally wouldn't need to exist if it wasn't for backwards printer design, but I guess that could be the one good thing apple has done (they've now abandoned it of course).
I'm not sure if I use CUPS anymore when it comes to printers that support IPP.
