@FourOh-LLC @cowanon It's not even that you're not supposed to care about other people, it's that if any real efforts one can take are both dangerous and futile then there's a very strong case to just checking out, which is exactly what a lot of zoomers are doing.

People should prefer to do things that are generative and helpful to those around them over things that are wasteful and lazy. However, once the civilization has proven sufficiently hostile or indifferent to someone, for a sufficiently long amount of time, they are correct to develop resentment and to withhold their efforts. If the hostility is bad enough, they have just cause for revolution.

And if I'm being honest, I think zoomers today do have just cause for revolution. This civilization's ruling class absolutely hates them. They hated us millennials, too, but they hate zoomers even more.
