     What’s very interesting is this messaging appears to be regionalized. In New York, boomers gave the exact messaging you just described, but since I moved to Utah, the boomers/Xers here give this messaging: “My kids have no future, and I feel for them, but I don’t know what to do about it aside from give them an inheritance. I tell them they have problems I don’t understand and they’re going to have to just figure it out when I die.” I heard it in LDS priesthood meetings all the time, although I haven’t been so good about attending them recently.

     Interesting. Religious conservatives with a pointedly-normie outward presentation “get it” more than the supposedly “hip” shitlibs of the Coasts.

     Don't know, but it sounds like every other boomer and gen-x'er whining about the kids these days. "We took and hoarded all the money now they can't afford anything how can they just sit around and not spend half of their day's paycheck on restaurants every other day like we spent maybe 1/8 that much on a single meal out?!"

     The core of the problem is "what do you contribute to Society?", "what do you do for other people"?
     
     You are NOT supposed to worry about other people, you are supposed to take care of your own. If everyone did that, the world would not have one crisis after the next.
     
     But look, all the institutions are being destroyed by the good-doers, and by those who care about MY problems and ignore their own.
     
     I am personally sick and tired of the office manager at work who keeps organizing one "Walk for Cancer", "Walk for Hunger", "Walk for the Homeless" - its only 50 bucks to participate.
     
     We used to have civic institutions to take care of these issues. They were all converted to political donors and cash cows.
     
     Purpose the institutions properly, and separate civic from political. Lock up or exterminate the insane. Problem solved.

     @FourOh-LLC @cowanon It's not even that you're not supposed to care about other people, it's that if any real efforts one can take are both dangerous and futile then there's a very strong case to just checking out, which is exactly what a lot of zoomers are doing.
     
     People should prefer to do things that are generative and helpful to those around them over things that are wasteful and lazy. However, once the civilization has proven sufficiently hostile or indifferent to someone, for a sufficiently long amount of time, they are correct to develop resentment and to withhold their efforts. If the hostility is bad enough, they have just cause for revolution.
     
     And if I'm being honest, I think zoomers today do have just cause for revolution. This civilization's ruling class absolutely hates them. They hated us millennials, too, but they hate zoomers even more.

     The medical centers in my area still have the banners up, more pronounced and with more palm-prints of kids.
     
     You cannot fix this, this is pathological.
     Lock them up or kill them off, but do move on from here.

     Women create all this nonsense, its females who are at the "forefront" of what is happening.
     
     Everything is in decline because women cannot keep themselves from turning everything into activism and politics.
     
     You allow a few women to open a book club, and the next thing you know they have banners, flags, buttons, a newsletter and a lawyer.
     
     They cannot help themselves to blow anything out of proportion, and fix anything that is not broken.
     
     In the process they destroy every institution they touch - education, law, business, sports.
     
     Its evident that something is replacing the Christianity-based Western Civilization, and that something is not functioning.
