I tried to engage with Lemmy's lead dev in private because I assumed that what you say is true. I didn't see any indication that it was true. That was why I went public.

If someone cares deeply about human rights, they should never deny well-documented abuses.

Human rights abuses are not socialism. They are crimes, they are evil. Trying to discuss them as socialism is giving socialism a bad name.
