The ills are these:
-Centralisation puts the entire network at risk of being bought out, which leads to the governance problems, spying on users, political manipulations etc we've seen on Twitter, Facebook etc.
-Centralised networks have one set of owners. What happens if someone disagrees with the behaviour of those owners or the behaviour of the moderators? On a centralised network nowere, on a decentralised network there are lots of alternatives.
