I'm just as guilty of abusing the term normie as anyone. But I agree that there's nothing wrong with being happy, functional members of society. And shitting on the majority of people just because they don't care about one's niche interests is needlessly condescending.

As far as "curing autism" (or really just social incompetence in the majority of cases) goes, I found being forced to do public speaking & debate as a kid was great. I mean, I despised it, but it turned out to be really good for me.
