@atomicpoet @fediversenews I'm not sure I even want "notable people" being a thing.

If you're notable, it's because of what you say, not because someone identified you as such.

And if people can't tell if it's really you... then were you really notable?

For that matter, if it's about proving identity (in a secure and safe way), then shouldn't EVERYONE who wants it get it regardless of their notariety?
