@icedquinn @sim @xjix The big difference between traditional feudalism and neofeudalism is that in traditional feudalism your lord lived in or near your town, his territory was right outside his door, and keeping his subjects at least marginally happy was mandatory for his continued existence. In neofeudalism, your lord live in a private mansion half the world away and has territory all throughout the planet, and the less happy his subjects are, the more profit he's able to extract selling them "cures" for the misery he inflicts upon them.
