Fediverse Report@sammy I think that is likely, yes. We're sort of starting to see that happen already: Nostr (a protocol somewhat similar to ActivityPub) is very focused on crypto, and is thus trying to separate itself from the fediverse, because they dont feel like that fits here. The bitcoinhackers.org mastodon instance recently shut down and moved to Nostr, specificially because they want to have a pro-crypto network.
