Remember Bluesky?

That's the de-centralized social network backed by Jack Dorsey that's supposed to compete with Mastodon.

Instead of using ActivityPub, it uses the competing AT protocol.

It's on the App Store right now in closed beta, and @Sarahp speculates that a public launch may be nearing.

Thing is, development of Bluesky has been slow as molasses. This was announced all the way back in 2019.

A whole lot has happened since then!
