I think it's possible that the whole thing could have been a misunderstanding? I think electronic communication is difficult. It is dehumanizing, but also it's super easy to misunderstand one another, then talk past each other, emotions flare, people get defensive and then it turns into something it wasn't initially. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time but I have definitely gotten into fights online that later after cooling down and talking about it, you realize that you both misinterpreted the other.
