House rules are the way to go, especially if you're building a homebrew around the base rules. Right now I'm playing a witch hunter who sometimes makes use of an orcish sniper rifle, but also just picked up a warhammer made from Ymir's bones. (Also freed Auðumbla from a jinn bottle, and now she's chilling in my back yard.)
