When I read the arsTechnica article I was intrigued and was curious if the people/projects behind Fediverse are interested in exploring setting up a community foundation. This removes alot of the redtape involved in funding projects not incorporated in the US as well as eliminates funding restrictions that would likely be where dev direction comes from
