- Embed this notice@SuperLutheran @hammerswinger @anti-climacus Having been in my share of altercations without a referee, it's really helpful to be able to put someone on the ground when you choose, and to stay off the ground when you don't want to be there. Wrestling and judo are great for that. Striking, it's good to have a base so that you don't get ktfo, but having done both I think you're better off with advanced grappling/throwing and basic striking than the reverse. Six months of boxing puts you at dangerous to the untrained, six months of grappling puts you at just barely above untrained.
