I mean I understand that JK Rowling is bad but it is beyond doubt that Harry Potter is a very famous series of books and movies that people remember fondly.

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to separate the art from the artist and enjoy the current trend while not directly giving any money to JK Rowling, you can just do that.
