@Humpleupagus @GoyGirl @s2208 @Nils @brigrammer Pregnancy is an extreme biological state though, and the rate of change of hormones during and after is extreme, in addition to the huge amounts of psychological stress it places on you. I don't think there is anything else like it that is a necessary biological process (and not elective like some extreme athletic thing).
