@KingOfWhiteAmerica @Omega_Variant @EvolLove Luke 1 tells us that John the Baptist was announced by the angel to Zachariah when he entered the holiest of holies to atone for the sins of the people. this only happened once a year, generally late September. the Annunciation (when Gabriel came to Mary to seek her consent for the conception of Christ) was said in Luke to be the six month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy. this would have been the end of March. 9 months later is the end of December. since this is God we’re talking about can can assume a physically uneventful pregnancy. Spiritual eventful because Elizabeth and John were both sanctified by the greeting of the pregnant Mary.
